 Marlon Wayans after graduating from the famed High School of Performing Arts in New York, Marlon Wayans studied at Howard University’s Film School. From there, he headed out west to join the cast of the Emmy Award-winning comedy series “In Living Color.” In 1990, young Marlon created and starred in “The Wayans Bros.” sitcom, which headed up the WB network lineup for five years. Marlon Wayans recently completed production on the independent film “Behind the Smile,” the directorial debut of Damon Wayans. Marlon was most recently seen in “Little Man.” The film, about a wannabe dad who mistakes a vertically challenged criminal on the lam for his newly adopted son, was co-written by Marlon and his brother Shawn and is being directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. Most recently, Marlon Wayans with his brother Shawn co-wrote and starred in the high-grossing “White Chicks,” about two disgraced FBI agents who go deep undercover in an effort to protect hotel heiresses the Wilson Sisters from a kidnapping plot. After starring in the feature films “Mo Money” and “Above the Rim,” Marlon wrote, executive produced and starred in the hit comedy “Don’tB a Menace to South central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood,” a parody of the coming-of-age-in-the-‘hood genre. Wayans’ other film credits include “The Ladykillers,” “The Sixth Man,” “Senseless,” with David Spade and Matthew Lillard, “Requiem for a Dream,” in which he gave a compelling dramatic performance as drug addict Tyrone C. “Dungeons &Dragons,” the film adaptation of the popular board game and the box-office hits “Scary Movie,” which he co-wrote and starred in, and “Scary Movie 2,” which he executive produced along with his brother Shawn Wayans and which was directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. In the spring of 2005, Marlon Wayans and his brothers Keenen and Shawn launched their own game called “The Dozens,” through their own SMK Merchandising company. The Wayans brothers are also working on their first humor books in the spirit of “101 Ways To Know” for St. Martin’s Griffin. The panel cartoon books, which will feature 101 full-page cartoons with classic ‘70s-style black-and-white panels, will be released later this year. The Wayans’ have also created “Thugaboo,” a series of animated specials for Nickelodeon which they will write, direct and voice. “Thugaboo” takes a humorous look at the trials and tribulations of nine inner city kids. In addition, Marlon and the Wayans’ are currently considering business ventures that take them into sports, children’s entertainment and property development.
