Carl Ellsworth (Screenplay by) counts “Disturbia” as his second produced feature film. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Carl Ellsworth attended film school at Southern Illinois University. In 1994, he moved to Los Angeles and began his career as a production assistant on TV sitcoms before getting his first break as a TV writer in 1997, penning episodes for the hit series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Xena: Warrior Princess,” as well as the sci-fi action series “Cleopatra 2525.” Carl Ellsworth finally broke into the movies in 2004 with his original script for the hit Wes Craven-directed thriller “Red Eye.”
