 The new Slazenger 2008 tennis range has been designed using cutting edge innovation to offer exceptional levels of performance in the most demanding playing situations. QUAD FLEXTM technology has been introduced into the 2008 range to complement Slazenger’s existing NANOTM technology system to create the perfect balance of power, comfort and control. Four ‘flex zones’ have been specially constructed from a combination of carbon and a new rubber cell resin, resulting in QUAD FLEXTM technology. QUAD FLEXTM technology helps to cushion the ball on impact thereby increasing the dwell time. This allows for increased control whilst also reducing the forces transferred on to the arm. In addition, QUAD FLEXTM increases the power of the racket by acting like a trampoline to return the ball with more energy. In the frame, Slazenger’s NANOTM technology works to provide more stable bonds between the resin and carbon fibres. This improved molecular structure enables a more tensile, powerful frame for stability with off-centre hits. The QUAD FLEXTM models are the 305, 290, 270 and the 255, and a 26 inch racket for junior players. The QUAD FLEXTM 305 is currently used by Tim Henman, and has been designed with serious players in mind to offer a high level of precision and control. The 290 has been designed for advanced to intermediate players who require the superior qualities of a tour racket but with a slightly lighter weight allowing a faster swing and extra power generation. The 270 racket has an increased head size and has been designed for intermediate and regular club players to offer the perfect balance between power, weight and control to create an extremely comfortable racket. The 255 is the lightest model in the range and ideal for improving players as it is light weight and has a wide beam design to offer extra power generation whilst offering a larger sweet spot for added control. The QUAD FLEXTM 26 is the racket from the range designed for serious junior players wanting to play at the highest standard. It offers an outstanding level of precision and shot control in a light weight and manageable frame.
